Resurrected Characters
Special Rules for Game Play for Resurrected Characters
In order to come back, the dead must have a reason. They must be needed by someone. Though in game people won't understand the process, for the application, you, the player, must provide a reason for the character to come back.

Resurrected characters cannot perform the unforgivables. As the spells have the potential to split the soul, and do damage to it, it would destroy the soul of a resurrected character and they would die.

They cannot own property as magical inheritance laws would get confusing.

They only come back with what they had on their person. Their property has been either been confiscated by the Ministry or passed down to whomever was listed as beneficiary. This means that if in the memory they are in dress robes, that is how they return. If the memory includes them tattered and ragged, that is how their clothing is.

The dead cannot die. They also do not age. They are infertile.

All resurrected characters arrive in the current day in the Forbidden Forest, but stumble awkwardly and confusedly until well beyond the borders. No character has seen them arrive. No one knows where they are coming from. Resurrected characters have their memory magically fogged due to the nature of the rift until they are well beyond the forest.

The age of any resurrected character is frozen at the strongest body-image the soul had in the afterlife. The exception to this is no characters may be younger than 17.

Any memory of suitable strength can be used as the point of reference for a character. It can be positive or negative. However, they must have full memory up until the moment they return. Therefore, while yes, defining moments can be before age 17, for the purposes of this game, the moment must be at age 17 or later.

Be aware that not everyone will be happy to see the dead return. Some are wanted men. Some have enemies. Many will be wary at best. Prejudice will be high.
