Death Eaters and those with family ties to them
All Death Eaters who have been found have been imprisoned and given the Dementor's Kiss. Some, including Lucius Malfoy, decided that suicide, even by Muggle means, would be preferable to the Kiss. Any Death Eater not captured has lost everything, all money, all property, and will always have to live in the shadows. If found, there is a 30,000 galleon award for their capture.
All families with demonstrable ties to Death Eaters are forced to pay reparations to pay for the reconstruction. Some fortunes are completely absorbed by the ministry.
Death Eater characters are either destitute outlaws living by their wits or resurrected. If resurrected, please also see the entry on resurrected characters.
Exceptions to this fate are those with a Pardon. Pardons are rare, and to date, only two have been granted. If you would like to petition for one, please find canonical reasons for it if doing so in character creation. If you want to have a character petition for one in game play, then by all means, contact the mods. ;-) |
